How to Use Channels

In this guide, We'll walk you through setting up various channels to optimize your chatbot's outreach and functionality.

Accessing the Channels Tab

  1. Log in to AskSpot Dashboard:

    • Navigate to the Channels tab from the dashboard. This is where you'll find all options to create and manage different channels for your chatbot.

Creating an Opt-In Form Channel

  1. Select Opt-In Form:

    • Click on the Opt-In Form icon.

    • Enter the title, e.g., "Contact Information".

    • Select and choose a form you’ve previously created. Here's a tutorial on how to create a form.

  2. Form Settings:

    • You can set the form to open automatically after opening the chatbot, after the first message, or after a specific number of messages.

    • Customize the heading and button text for the pop-up.

  3. Form Activation:

    • Open the chatbot to see the form appear automatically.

    • Users must complete the form before continuing the chat.

  4. Analytics:

    • Track total clicks for the opt-in form in the dashboard.

Creating a Suggested Questions Channel

  1. Select Question Channel:

    • Click on the Question icon.

    • Enter a question and input relevant content such as links, YouTube videos, or images.

  2. Save and Test:

    • Save the question channel.

    • Test by clicking the question channel to see how it appears in the chatbot.

Creating a URL Channel

  1. Select URL Channel:

    • Click on the URL icon.

    • Enter a title and the URL you want to direct users to.

  2. Save and Test:

    • Save the URL channel.

    • Test by clicking the URL channel to ensure it redirects correctly.

Creating an SMS Channel

  1. Select SMS Channel:

    • Click on the SMS icon.

    • Enter a title, e.g., "Text Us", and input a phone number.

  2. Save and Test:

    • Save the SMS channel.

    • On a computer, it provides a QR code; on mobile, it opens the messaging app.

Creating a Telegram Channel

  1. Select Telegram Channel:

    • Click on the Telegram icon.

    • Enter your Telegram channel and title.

  2. Save and Test:

    • Save the Telegram channel.

    • On mobile, it opens the Telegram app; on a computer, it directs to the Telegram website.

Creating a WhatsApp Channel

  1. Select WhatsApp Channel:

    • Click on the WhatsApp icon.

    • Enter a title, e.g., "Message Us on WhatsApp", and input a phone number.

  2. Save and Test:

    • Save the WhatsApp channel.

    • On mobile, it opens the WhatsApp app; on a computer, it directs to the WhatsApp page.

Creating a Phone Call Channel

  1. Select Phone Call Channel:

    • Click on the Phone icon.

    • Enter a title and phone number.

  2. Save and Test:

    • Save the phone call channel.

    • On mobile, it opens the dialing application; on a computer, it looks for a compatible dialing application.

Creating a Go High Level Channel

  1. Select Go High Level Channel:

    • Click on the Go High Level icon.

    • Enter a title, e.g., "Chat with Us", and input the code for your chat widget.

  2. Integration:
