How To Save Your Bot's System Prompt To The Prompt Library

Learn how to save and manage your chatbot's system prompts using AskSpot's Prompt Library. This guide shows you how to select your business, access settings, modify system prompts, and save them for reuse across multiple projects.

Navigating the Prompts

  1. Access Prompts: Log in to your AskSpot dashboard and navigate to the Prompts section.

  2. View Existing Prompts: You will see a list of existing prompts. Here, you can manage your current prompts. For instance, I have five prompts listed that I can manage.

Managing Prompts

  1. Edit Prompts:

    • Click on the prompt you want to edit.

    • You can change the name and content of the prompt.

    • After making the changes, click Update.

  2. Copy Prompts:

    • There is an option to copy the prompt for easy duplication.

  3. Delete Prompts:

    • You can delete any prompt by clicking the delete icon.

Adding New Prompts

  1. Create a New Prompt:

    • Click on Create Prompt.

    • Enter the name of the prompt.

    • Enter the prompt content. For example, "Kindly chatbot who uses emojis in conversations."

    • Click Create to add the new prompt.

Utilizing Prompts in Your Chatbot

  1. Go to Chatbot Settings:

    • Navigate to your chatbot and go to Settings.

    • Click on AI Configuration.

  2. System Prompt:

    • You will see the system prompt field.

    • To save a new prompt to your system prompt library, click on the plus icon next to the system prompt field.

  3. Using Saved Prompts:

    • You can view the list of saved prompts in your library.

    • Select a saved prompt to change the system prompt.

    • Click Save Changes to update your chatbot's system prompt.
