How to Customize the Color Scheme Display Settings of Your Bots

In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to change the color scheme and overall look and feel of your AskSpot bot.

Accessing Customization Settings

  1. Navigate to Settings: On your bot setup page, go to the "Settings" menu.

  2. Go to Customization: In the submenu, select "Customization."

Customization Options

  1. Chatbot Alignment:

    • Choose the alignment of the chatbot on your website (left or right side).

  2. Chatbot Size:

    • Select the size of your chatbot (small, medium, or large).

  3. Delay Function:

    • Use the delay function to control when the chatbot appears if it’s embedded on a website.

  4. Adjust Position:

    • Horizontal and Vertical Offset: Adjust where the chatbot is positioned on your website using these settings.

  5. Message Alert:

    • Add a message alert to your chatbot to draw attention. When activated and saved, a notification (e.g., a little "1") will appear.

  6. Branding:

    • Turn Off Branding: Remove branding if desired.

    • Customize Branding Text: Change the "Powered by" text to reflect your brand or agency.

    • Custom Link: Set the destination for the branding link (e.g., your agency's website or a specific landing page).

  7. Message Input:

    • Disable Typing: Remove the ability to type messages if you prefer users to interact only with suggested questions. Uncheck the box to disable the text input field.

  8. Color Scheme:

    • Preset Color Schemes: Choose from a variety of predefined color schemes.

    • Create Custom Color Schemes: Adjust all aspects of the chatbot’s appearance, including:

      • Header

      • Message background

      • Footer

      • Powered by text

    • Save and Name Custom Schemes: Save your custom color schemes with unique names and edit them anytime.
