🎛️ Accessing the Customization Panel
Open Your Bot Settings:
Head to your bot’s setup page inside AskSpot.Navigate to “Settings” → “Customization”:
This is where all your display and theme options live.
From here, you can tweak your bot’s alignment, color palette, size, and more — all without touching a line of code.
Layout and Positioning Options
Chatbot Alignment
Choose whether your chatbot appears on the left or right side of your website.
Chatbot Size
Select a display size — small, medium, or large — depending on your site’s layout and the attention you want the bot to command.
Delay Function
Add a subtle delay to when your chatbot appears after a page loads. This is perfect if you want visitors to focus on your content first before seeing the chatbot.
Adjust Position
Fine-tune the horizontal and vertical offset to position the chatbot exactly where you want it on your page.
Message Alert Settings
Want to make your chatbot more noticeable?
Activate Message Alerts to show a small notification bubble (like a red “1”) above the chatbot icon. It’s a great way to prompt visitors to engage.
Branding Controls
If you’re running an agency or want a fully white-labeled bot, AskSpot makes that easy:
Turn Off Branding completely, or
Customize the “Powered by” text to reflect your brand name.
Add a custom link — perfect for directing users to your website or a landing page.
Message Input Customization
You have full control over how users interact with your bot:
Disable typing if you want users to engage only through pre-set questions or buttons.
Enable free typing for open-ended AI conversations.
Simply toggle the option under the Message Input section.
Color Scheme & Theme Options
This is where your chatbot truly comes to life.
Preset Color Schemes
Choose from AskSpot’s ready-made color palettes designed for clarity, contrast, and accessibility.
Create Custom Schemes
For a fully on-brand experience, adjust every color element, including:
Header background
Chat message bubbles
Footer section
“Powered by” text color
Once you’ve perfected your design, save your custom color scheme with a unique name — and easily edit or switch between saved themes anytime.
Final Step: Save & Preview
When you’re happy with your settings, hit Save, then preview your chatbot on your site or use the Arcade demo below to see these features in action:
