Step-by-Step Guide to Adding an Alert Notification
Access Your Chatbot Setup Page
Log in to your AskSpot account and navigate to your chatbot setup page.
Go to Settings
Once on the setup page, click on the "Settings" tab to access various configuration options for your chatbot.
Navigate to Customization
In the settings menu, click on "Customization" to find options for personalizing your chatbot's appearance and behavior.
Enable the Notification Icon
Look for the option to "Show Notification Icon Widget."
Check the box to enable this feature. This will make a small notification icon appear on your chat widget.
Set the Delay for the Notification Icon
Once you enable the notification icon, an additional option will appear to set the delay for the icon's appearance.
You can choose to have the notification icon appear immediately or set a delay. For instance, setting a delay of 5 seconds will make the icon appear 5 seconds after the page loads.
Save Your Changes
After configuring the delay, click the "Save" button to apply your changes.
Preview the Notification Icon
After saving, you should see the notification icon on your chat widget. If you set a delay, wait for the specified time to see the icon appear.
