Quick Tip: How to share your bot's chat log outside of the app

Steps to Share Chat Logs

1. Navigate to the Chats Tab

   • From your chatbot setup page, navigate to the "Chats" tab.

2. Go to Chat Settings

   • Once in the "Chats" tab, go to "Chat Settings."

3. Enable Chat Sharing

   • In the "Chat Settings" section, find the "Share Chats" option.

   • Toggle the box to enable chat sharing. This action will open additional options below.

4. Generate a Shareable Link

   • A link will be generated for you to share your chat logs.

   • By default, this link uses the app.askspot.ai domain. However, if you've connected a custom domain to your AskSpot account, the link will run on your custom domain, making it appear white-labeled.

5. Optional: Add a Passcode

   • For added security, you can set a passcode. This ensures that only those with the passcode can access the chat logs.

6. Save and Share

   • Click "Save" to finalize the settings.

   • Copy the generated link and share it with your client or anyone you wish to provide access to.

Viewing the Shared Chat Logs

• Accessing the Link:

  • Open the copied link in a new tab. You will see the chat logs, showcasing the interactions people have had with the chatbot.

• Usage Example:

  • Share the link with your client to show them the types of questions the bot is receiving and the responses it is providing. This is particularly useful for demonstrating the bot's value and the time it saves for their business.

Important Notes

• Customization:

  • If you have a custom domain set up, the shared link will reflect your branding.

• Security:

  • Adding a passcode is optional but recommended for controlling access.
