Step 1: Access Profile Settings
To begin, launch your AskSpot dashboard and navigate to your Spotlight. Select the Profile tab to enter the profile customization section.
Step 2: Upload a Profile Image
Click the area labeled “Add Profile Image.” Upload a square image (1:1 aspect ratio recommended) in JPG, PNG, or GIF format. This image visually represents you or your brand on the Spotlight page.
Optional: Use the Crop tool to adjust the image before uploading to ensure the best fit.
Step 3: Embed a Welcome Video (Optional)
For a more dynamic introduction, you can replace your static image with a welcome video. Supported platforms include YouTube, Loom, and Vimeo.
Paste an iframe embed code in the designated area. Be sure to set the video dimensions to width="100%" and height="100%" for optimal display.
Note: When a video is embedded, it will replace your profile image in the display.
Step 4: Add a Headline and Description
Enter your headline—this could be your title, role, or business name. Below it, add a description that tells your story or explains what users can expect from your Spotlight.
You can also adjust the font size to better match your layout and branding preferences.
Step 5: Add Social Media Links
Keep your audience engaged by linking to your active social profiles. Click Add Link, select a platform from the dropdown menu (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube), and paste your profile URL.
You can add multiple links.
Use the alignment setting (left, center, or right) to position them according to your page design.
Use the delete icon to remove any outdated or unused links.
Step 6: Save Your Profile Settings
Once all your details are entered, click Save Changes to apply your updates. Your Spotlight profile is now live and fully personalized.
