Step 1: Create a New Spotlight
Start by navigating to your business dashboard in AskSpot and clicking the Add button. From the list of options, select Spotlight. Enter the relevant details for your new Spotlight, such as the description, and click Create to finalize the setup.
Step 2: Enable the Header Navigation Bar
Once your Spotlight is created, open it and locate the header settings. Toggle the Show Navbar option to enable the navigation bar at the top of the page. This will ensure your logo, title, and links are displayed to visitors.
Click Save Changes to activate this feature.
Step 3: Upload a Logo
To brand your Spotlight, upload a custom logo by clicking “Click here to add a logo image.” You can choose to upload the image directly or crop it before uploading.
Square logos offer a traditional, corporate look.
Rounded logos create a more modern, friendly impression.
Step 4: Add a Title
Next to the logo, you can add a clickable Title—typically your business or personal name. This reinforces your branding and gives users another way to navigate back to the top of your page.
Step 5: Configure the Call-to-Action (CTA) Button
Add a CTA button to guide users toward your main goal. Enter the button text (e.g., “Book a Call,” “View Listings”) and insert the destination URL. This button will appear prominently on the top-right corner of the header.
Step 6: Add Custom Navigation Links
You can include up to four custom links in your header to give users quick access to key pages.
Click “Add Custom Link” and input the URL and label. You can center-align these links for a cleaner layout and improved user experience.
Step 7: Finalize Your Header
Once all elements—logo, title, CTA button, and links—are in place, click Save Changes to apply your settings.
Your Spotlight header is now ready, providing users with easy navigation and clear access to your most important resources. It’s a simple setup that significantly enhances the usability and professionalism of your Spotlight page.
